"My hunch is that B&N never really embraced the Internet or e-books, tied as it was to the old-fashioned world of physical books and stores. As B&N focused on managing decline, a much more nimble Amazon could concentrate exclusively on the new world it was forming. B&N needed to destroy its business model to prevail. Now it is probably too late. There is a lesson for all businesses here."How Barnes & Noble fell so far so fast
I never liked Barnes & Noble, not because it sold actual books, but because its prices were always higher than Amazon or Borders. But there is nothing old-fashioned about real books. Nothing beats the feeling of holding a book in your hand and flipping through the pages, getting into the story. The structure of e-books today are built after the images of real books after all. When I read today that books are so called "old-fashioned" I really felt my 22 years of age, down to the very last page.
An Iowa egg producer is recalling 228 million eggs after being linked to an outbreak of salmonella poisoning.
The eggs were distributed around the country and packaged under the names Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.
We shall all have to put aside our cravings for a while.
This is a special coverage on some videos I made on NYC!
A rather interesting video of Richard Feynman sharing some of his childhood recollections in an interview.

It's come to my attention that on the last layout (Spiderman) you could not post comments. The new layout features Zach, from Final Fantasy 7!
So today, after a long very tiring run outside, I came back into the gym to cool off, stretch, do some sit-ups, you know...the good stuff. Usually when I go there's some people running on the treadmill which is usually opposite the area where I do sit-ups and so I am able to watch what's going on behind me while facing the other direction as that's what mirrors usually allow you to do. While I was in the middle of doing some sit-ups and I'm like "Wow, this is really tiring." I do something like what's going on at around 1:05 in the following video:
Just cause I'm tired. In the corner of my eye, I see this girl on the elliptical give me such a strange look and yet her look said it all. It was a 5% amusement and 45% horrid fascination 50% completely disgusted look. I nearly laughed at her. So now, I will watch my facial expressions when I am completely exhausted, so other people can look at me normally.
P.S. This video is a practice of the original movie I was going to do. If I feel nice, I might publish the script later.

My sister got an iPod touch.
Whathefu?
Woke up at 4:00 AM.
Took Super Shuttle to airport and flew to Seattle. Arrived at 11:00 AM (Texas Time). Finished two of the three books I brought home to read before I touched down. (WTF, should have brought more.)
Went home and ate and immediately went to sleep.
Woke up ate dinner, remember just how good of a cook my mom is.
Went to Sports Authority and tried to play Wii Fit only to realize how much of a food I must look like to everyone else.
Went out running with my sister whole almost step on this 3 inch long black slug and who after running halfway home, complained that her heart hurt and she felt like she was going to have a heart attack in 8 seconds.
Realized how beautiful the scenery is around my house. Note to self: must remember to take camera on next run.
Just in case no one has noticed, I have added a new background to the blog! I hope everyone likes it!
With the world cup going on, here is another game that people are endlessly playing.

So sometimes in my spare time, I like to play around with improvising on the piano. I like the freedom it gives to the pianist to stream music. Anyways, this is my first try at recording it, so please pardon the mistakes. Hope you guys enjoy it!
Another of those inspirational essays.
I came across this website on reddit a while ago. There is a good list of free online books about programming--C, C++, Java, and much more. I haven't really explored any of them, but I thought I'd share the link with everyone.
2010 FIFA World Cup - Spain vs. Portugal
20:30 into the match or at 50:28 into the movie.
Tried a few things out last night with this video editing software. Adobe Premire and After Effects. I get along with Photoshop but these two are just blowing my mind.
Here is my five seconds of fame:

Marcos recently introduced to me the power of Google Analytics, a website that tracks people who go on the page, how long they stayed, in other words anything you would want to know about the people who look at our website. I thought you guys might want access to this, so just in case you're curious about the traffic to the website, check this link out and log in with your gmail screen name.

Tortilla Flats roast beef quesadilla: roast beef, guacamole, cheese, green chili, lettuce, tomato, wrapped in crispy tortilla
Either from my constant posting on the website or spamming of your mailbox, not doubt you've experienced some degree of my annoying qualities. Therefore, I'd like to point you in a direction to relieve your tears of frustration. Give that monkey what it deserves.
Yes, you do see some ads. These are mostly just for fun, but all proceeds received will be donated to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Cleanup so click click to save the pelicans!
Here's a video blog Karen and I decided to make while she was visiting Los Alamos. Enjoy!
Edit: Updated with YouTube link because MegaVideo was not HD quality..
Aha! The video is finally ready... sort of.
The original clips were shoot the night after graduation, like 5am in the morning... so most of videos were kinda random and the conversation was very dispersed, so I simply 'jigsawed' the parts I found interesting and relevant.
I believe everything was edited in HD (it took me a heck amount of time, but shall be worthwhile.) If you are watching it now and find it in low quality, check again tomorrow and allegedly youtube will have HD version ready!
Sorry for the delay... for various reasons and technical difficulties. The voice quality is very poor due to the limited range of the camera mic, and since we didn't have a tripod, the clips are mostly shaky or otherwise blurry (to smooth and stabilize, I had to zoom in to catch these common areas...) Anyways, I had a lot of fun watching and editing this video, and I hope you'll enjoy it as well =D

Hey guys,
Here's the first in the series of the Smack 'Em Video Blogs! This will be a video blog tagging game where people take turns answering questions. Watch the video for more details. Enjoy~
P.S. Vic, you're the first person tagged, so you should watch it for further instructions!
Sorry it took a while to edit and upload the movie (27+ minutes! 500+ MB!), but here it is finally! The story isn't very well developed, but hey, what else could you have done with 2 hours of filming in the afternoon without a clear script? Anyways, please enjoy the exclusive film brought to you by Smack 'Em~
Err.. Monika, when you have a chance, can you fix the layout to make it so it doesn't cut off the embedded videos? Here's the direct link in case anyone wants to watch it full screen.
